Children
It’s just too hard, too scary, “I’m not smart enough”, “I can’t”. Your precious child wants to do well, wants to succeed but something seems to be in their way. Your child is struggling and you aren’t sure how to help anymore. ADHD? Anxiety? Trauma?
I partner with parents to help kids learn how amazing they really are. Sometimes they need to understand how to tap into brave, sometimes they need to understand the superpower of ADHD, and sometimes they need to heal. Using the play based approach of sandtray therapy, I support children’s journey of increased confidence while supporting parents so you know how to come alongside your child in the most helpful ways.

Teens
Your sweet child is becoming more irritable. You used you to be able to encourage them to try something new or support them when they were nervous, but now it seems a whole new level. Friendships are more complicated; classes seem more difficult; and they aren’t even really sure who they are. They’ve encountered things that just break our hearts and seems to really change who they are.
Is your teen looking for support, wanting a safe place and neutral person to share what’s going on in their world? Do they need to learn how to navigate different relationships? Or maybe to understand how their brain makes them amazing, even if it doesn’t feel that way right now.
Some teens prefer to talk and just have someone listen. Others prefer therapy to feel a bit more removed from themselves and this is where expressive arts activities or sandtray can be helpful. And for some, Accelerated Resolution Therapy can be the key to unlocking the pieces in life that keep them stuck, triggered and afraid.

Adults
It’s getting harder to keep all the balls in the air. Emotions seem to get the better of you and you never know when something will cause another…eruption or shut down this time. You try to keep pushing forward but find yourself here again. “Will I ever heal from it?” You try but you are STUCK.
Maybe you struggle with anxiety or burn out, or maybe you’ve had some trauma or difficult situations in your life and no matter how hard you try, it feels like waves keep crashing over you. You keep pressing on but it’s like you are weighed down with a backpack full of the past. Therapy can help.
Sometimes we just need someone to support us, to listen to us, to tell us “it makes sense” that you feel that way. Some prefer Accelerated Resolution Therapy to help cut emotional ties with the triggers of the past. To truly allow them to move forward, taking off that backpack and learning they too can thrive.

Family
Fighting, yelling and silence. You’re not sure what has happened but this is now how you wanted your family to be. You try but nothing seems to work.
Using Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) I come alongside family to help support reconnection. Allowing parents to show up in the ways their children need and in turn children begin to shift their responses to parents, working through past wounds and embrace the path towards healing. Learning how to partner together towards the struggles in life rather than butt heads about it.
